Im in the process of collecting the old Linguaphone courses (50s-70s) and transferring them to mp3. The books i scan and clean up with photoshop and convert to eBook. So far i have:
German (1960s)
German (1970s/80s)
Spanish (1970s/80s)
French (1960s)
French (1970s/80s)
PDQ Arabic
Polish (1960s)
Polish (1970s)
Italian (1970s)
Madarin Chinese (1970s)
Greek (1960s)
However, the Polish 1960s course has the coursbook but no vocab notes or English explinitry notes. Does anyone have these books? I'd be glad to pay for the scanned pages.

Sorry, can't help you with the Polish, but can I ask you what you use to convert the audio to mp3? I have the Arabic course which I would love to have on my mp3 player.

You can connect the audio output of a tape or record player to the line-in input of your computer sound card, and then use the program Audacity to capture the sound.
For Mistermark21, are the main lessons in your different German, French and Polish courses the same?
I own a Polish Linguaphone course. I'll check it out later.

Pretty much the same, although occasionally they'll use a different picture in the coursebook but the same basic setting e.i. a living room or a house.

I've been trying to find Linguaphone German (1970s/80s) for quite some time, however it seems to be impossible to get my hands on one in Turkey (where i reside). You're a lucky one.

Im in the process of transferring the records/casettes to mp3 and scanning each page of the books. Thereby preserving Linguaphone forever. When its all done i'd be happy to send you a CD Rom version of any of the courses.

I should point out that all of those courses are still Linguaphone's copyright and, in
fact, that the German, Chinese and Italian courses from the 1970s are still the ones
being sold by Linguaphone.
Therefore to distribute them would be copyright infringement, which I understand, is not
condone by this discussion forum.
