Hi all. I recently began to teach myself Russian. Are there any websites or forums that offer beginners practice with native speakers? I would like to be able to speak and write Russian and not just be confined to reading. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently using TY Russian to get basic skills and Livemocha for practice. Unfortunately, actually getting someone to chat with is difficult to say the least. I tried to register for the forum at masterrussian.net and they deleted me the next day saying, "Unfortunately your registration at MasterRussian.NET did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted." I read through the site's faq and I didn't see any strict rules for becoming a forum member. Weird.

I'm native russian and I'm ready to help you.
I'm carrying out some investigation about learning method and I would like to read, write, translate from and into English.
We can also speak via Skype.
My spoken English is not good enough, but when you have difficulties in Russian - you can move back to English.
I think and I search for proof that this method is useful and effective.
Irina
