Hello everyone! It's my first time posting on here, and I'm hoping somebody will be able to help me! I can't seem to come to terms with Turkish grammar, mainly the suffixes and word order! It's all very well that I know the words and what they mean, but I can't really make sentences without understanding the use of the suffixes, ect. Would anybody be able to explain, or send me some links which would help me to understand it? Thank you in advance! I am hoping I have worded this message in the best way possible.

At the risk of sounding flippant, what courses have you tried so far?
Every course that I've seen will take you through the basics of word order and what the various suffixes do.
Beginning Turkish grammar is really one of the more logical, once you know the rules. Of course, things get trickier the more advanced you get, but picking up a beginner course will answer most of your questions.

Howdy!
As hrhenry pointed out, each and every course/textbook should teach you how to use the basic suffixes as they're very fundamental to the language I believe. Even when you look at a simple expression like "güle güle", you find a suffix, in this case "-e". Since you seem to have some vocabulary, you may have learned some of them but just haven't gotten around to practicing. It may seem a little complicated but it just takes some getting used to. I'm not in any place to give a lecture on anything, so I just wish you luck with your studies.

The use of suffixes in Turkish is pretty overwhelming! The best thing to do is to pick one thing at a time and study it.
The Critical Language Series has some free lessons. It has small dialogues showing you how to build the pronouns and (the second dialogue), the plurals. This lesson has a video.
Turkish word order is different but here's 2 basic rules that helped me get started:
1. The verb goes at the end
2. Whatever you want to make most important in the sentence goes before the verb.
Here's a sentence: Ahmet is waiting for Hatice at the school
Ahmet Haticeyı okulda bekliyor.
the emphasis is that Ahmet is waiting at the school
Ahmet okulda Haticeyı bekliyor.
the emphasis is that Ahmet is waiting for Hatice
Here's another sentence: Today the weather is very nice
Bugün hava çok güzel.
the emphasis is the weather is very nice
Hava bugün çok güzel.
the emphasis is today is very nice
That's how I understand it but I'm a beginner and I still have a long way to go!
edit: the intro to word order at http://www.tuerkisch-lernen-online.de/index.html is a good resource for German speakers and is what I'm using.
