Hello,

My German is something between A2 and B1...studying as usual is not making me improve so I think the best way to surpass this is start reading textes and so.

Do you have any kind of links with good material for me to improve? I really want to speak German fluently...

I'm around the same level as you are, so I don't have any recipe for success. However,
try listening to podcasts/news and watch movies. There is a bunch of material already
suggested around the forum, so you can try searching in old threads.

Well I'm reading comics right now in French and German and it is GREAT. I tried reading a Stephen King
book in German just now but it was just way too tedious. I have the same book (The Green Mile) in English
and I would say the character of the text can for stylistic purposes or whatever be somewhat unforgiving for
the language learner. That's not to mention books like Dostojevskijs Brothers Karamazov or The Idiot, which
are a complete mess even in my native language lol.
So comics are perfect for me. So far I've read some albums of Tintin, Asterix, The Walking Dead, Unter dem
Hakenkreuz, Donald Duck, Star Wars Comic, Simpsons Comic and Futurama Comic. For a good story some
of the earlier Tintin albums are definitely favorites, while for a good laugh Simpsons and Futurama are great.

Anime are there any original German comic books? Or which translations do you find good?

My sister bought a bunch of original German comic books but I haven't got around to reading them yet. One
of them is called "Die Plastikmadonna" and she said it was good.
I haven't been to Germany for a while but when I go I will definitely buy loads of comics. Otherwise you could
try Amazon or something, for ex

http://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/s/ref=is_box_?__mk_de_DE=%C5M%C5Z %D5%D1&k=Simpsons+comic

As far as the quality of translation goes I assume it's of good quality. I got some laughs out of reading
Simpsons and Futurama for sure

Oh damn my bad, both Unter dem Hakenkreuz and Die Plastikmadonna are actually by French. Oh well,
atleast they seem to have a rich comic culture in France =)

I'm sure there are good original German comics too I didn't look for them yet

"rich comic culture"? that is much of an understatement. France-Belgium is one of the key comic traditions of the world. I'd say the USA, France-Belgium and Japan put together vast majority of comic books, each representing different kinds and genres.

I found this wiki list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_comic_books#Germany_.28 Comic.29

hmm. it is a starting point but I have no idea what to expect. The French part is very incomplete which gives me hope there is much more in German as well.

Yeah that German comics list didn't look too convincing. "Various gay comics by Ralf König" :)
