You like listening and reading along in Dutch? Then the following links may be of interest to you.

http://www.city-books.eu/en/about-city-books
First the one, that amazed me most, because it’s an incredible source for parallel reading. You’ll find on this page contemporary literature in at least three languages – Dutch, English, French – and additionally in the writer’s tongue in case he/she writes in another language (so far four pieces are in Afrikaans, one in German, one in Italian). These so called citybooks appear not only in e-book form and as a text on the website, but also as high quality audio books (every text is spoken in every mentioned language!).
All the information as well as the contents are accessible free of charge. Ostend, Utrecht and Grahamstown are the first cities visited; in 2011 they will make city portraits of Boekarest, Tblisi, Graz, Chartres and Potsdam. So there’s more to come over the year and I will definitely follow them ... Is anyone as exited as me about this source?

Click on the right side on „Lees de krantencommentaren“ to read the Dutch/Flemish text and click on „Luister naar de krantencommentaren“ to listen. It is updated every day,

The title „Woord van de dag“ is misleading, in fact they offer every day an article from a Dutch or Flemish newspaper with an accompanying mp3-file. They provide some vocabulary for Germans, too.

Some of the radiocolumns at this site are with audio.

Maybe not everyones taste, but also a regular column with audio (every Sunday). Just look in the „archief“ for more. (If JW is reading this: you will enjoy the site :-)

And especially to all the participants of the TAC Dutch: I wish you great success with your studies!

You're welcome, tommus. And if you still look for a Dutch novel with an unabriged audiobook, I can recommend "De thuiskomst" by Anna Enquist. I bought the book second hand at amazon and downloaded the audio from luisterrijk.nl at a reasonable price. By the way, having an account there and subscribing to their newsletter can be very useful. Sometimes they offer good discounts or even free audiobooks for a limited time.

Thank you for that recommendation. I am a big Captain Cook fan so I will look forward to "De thuiskomst".

Thanks glossa.passion for the links!

Btw, does anyone know whether there're Dutch audio dramas out there, that resemble those of the Fünf Freunde (The Famous Five by Enid Blyton) for German language? I love listening to them, and I bought a couple of them (in German) to improve my German listening skills.

I would love to listen to The Famous Five in Dutch, if they have them!
