Thinking of buying this, can someone please confirm that this is a Spanish base version of the 2004
German course (the one that isn't available in English yet) and not a new edition of the older, pre-2004
course (which I have already completed). I think it is but want to be sure before spending money. If it's the
older course I'll just by the French book of the 2004 course and muddle through as best I can (I can't
speak
French).

It is - the 'new' course has the girl with the German flag on her cheek on the left and
lebkuchen on the right.
But...there is an English version coming out at the end of the year if you are prepared
to wait.

Good shout, but by the end of the year I hope to be on Assimil's second stage course. English base would
be nice, but I'll be fine with Spanish. Basically my core method is Assimil plus FSI. I just finished the
Assimil course (with Spanish base) but the FSI course (great though it is) is taking longer to work through
(basically because it is a lot harder to find an hour and a half or more on my own to do an FSI unit than it is
to find 20-
30 minutes to do an Assimil lesson). So I'm still working on FSI but am missing my Assimil lessons ha ha.
I looked at the second stage course and don't feel ready yet, so I thought of this. Thanks for your help.

The new Assimil German is very good in my opinion - and the recordings are done very
nicely and humorously.
