The Collins German School Dictionary.

It is very inexpensive. I am wondering if it would be worthwhile getting it as kind of a
basic vocab book to peruse (it has about 4000 words by my calculations)

I am currently starting the A2 level.

I've got this one....

Berlitz
German Standard Dictionary

I bought if from WH Smiths at the time and I did look at several others including the
Collins. It cost a fair amount more but I've found it pretty good. The other advantage is
that it has a vinyl cover so is extremely hard-wearing. In fact, I liked it enough to buy
the Italian one as well.
