I've been looking for hours on the internet for an audiobook of 'Cien años de soledad', but I couldn't find it. I guess it's not in the public domain yet, so I don't think there are any free versions around, but I was surprised that I couldn't even find it on the commercial sites. Does anyone know where I can get it? Help!!
PS: I'm aware that there is a version read by a computer-generated female voice, but I'm only interested in real human voices.

It won't be in the public domain in our lifetimes, barring changes in expected lifespan or copyright laws.
It seems to me that the dreaded "lack of audiobooks in Romance languages" has struck again; there doesn't seem to be a human-read version available. Or if there is, 20 minutes of searching didn't turn it up, although it did turn up the thread where you asked in this forum in Spanish; that's a fairly bad sign.

I have the audio for this read by a man. I downloaded it a few months ago but I don't remember where I got it. I don't want to break any forum rules, but I'm willing to upload to Rapidshare if that's allowed... (and yes, I came out of lurking specifically for this--now I feel like I actually have something to contribute around here)

Hi duck,
Thanks. You can give it to these folks and they'll put it up if it's not under copyright.

It was written in 1967, the author is alive, and the recording is even more recent (the recording can be under copyright even when the work it's recorded from isn't). It's very much under copyright.
