Hi,
I am interested in learning a Filipino language called "Visaya/Bisaya and/or Cebuano" but for the life of me I cannot find any quality material to help me learn this. Can you help me?

I have a small "Conversational English-Cebuano" by C.S.Canonigo, which has the advantage over most language guides that it repeats similar constructions with slight changes instead of totally different examples every time. This means that you actually can guess a few things about how the language functions. The only problem is that it probably isn't easy to buy outside the Philippines.

Visayan is just one among teh Visayan languages, but the others are probably even more difficult to find materials for.

If you search Amazon for "cebuano", there are a number of books that show up, some of which look pretty good (I won't link anything, since I don't have experience with any of the courses). Let me know what you end up using and what you think of it; I'm interested in learning Cebuano/Bisaya one day as well.

Amazon.de has a few books, including one in the "Wort für Wort" series.

I remember finding a really concise cebuano grammar book on UZ translations.

Material for cebuano/bisaya is hard.

Magbinisaya primer (not sure anything else really
released but is displayed on a website somewhere).
I don't seem to get on well with textbooks and
doesn't suit demands on me.

What worked in the end was Memrise (baas course)
doing virtually all the courses and writing a few
of my own.

Practice -ing-a-ong for the nasal ng sound and
reading ceb.wikipedia.org.

Ww2, el cid, usa etc.

Books very hard to get.

Writers will use English or tagalog.

Audio from librivox but very outdated and very
little. Various bible mp3s.

All sources will be deep and not colloquial.

I'm interested in new resources/ideas
