I'm pretty pleased with how much I accomplished this week, though it was more like a spree then annihilation. I still need to step it up a bit. I managed to get my Anki deck completely caught up (425 words, both directions) and learned an additional 100 words. For Grammar I'm sticking to PMP Spanish Vocabulary & Complete Spanish Grammar. For reading I struggled through the first four stories in Angel Flores' First Spanish reader. I can generally figure out the vocabulary as I'm reading but the grammar still eludes me...half the time I get confused as to who is doing which action. I'm sure with additional practice it will get easier, but it is frustrating right now. I also went back to the beginning of FSI and reviewed Unit 1. In total I spend 7hrs 27 min in study this week, which I'm pretty happy with, but I need to get in 10hrs in order to meet my goal of 500hrs by the end of the year. I'm away from my home computer, so I can't give an exact update on this week's accomplishments, but I studied about 5 hrs and learned an additional 100 words this week. It has become apparent that the 10 hrs a week that I originally set as a goal was entirely too optimistic for me, so now I'm shooting for 5-7. I read several more short stories from the Angel Flores reader, which I quite enjoy. I start recording myself reading so that I could listen to myself and see how the accent and tempo sounded. Aside from the fact that I sound like I'm 12, I was actually pretty pleased, but then my previous Spanish teachers had always been complimentary of my pronunciation. All in all a good week! Me gusta leer que estás progresando mismo que sea más lento que habías esperado. Siempre es difícil tener suficiente tiempo a estudiar y a veces falta la motivación, lo pasa a mí también. Pero tengo certeza que al fin del año hablaremos español perfectamente :-). Buena suerte para ti.

Espero que vuelvas, veo que tu último login ha sido el 26 de enero y así parece que no quieres continuar tu log. Es una pena, también me haces falta en nuestro grupo de TAC.
