You never know what get's the employer's attention. My sister once applied for a job as a French teacher, and her qualifications and grades were so equal to those of another guy applying, that she got the job because she had done a 2 day course in marine biology in France that he hadn't. I once caught an employer's attention because the recommendation from my previous job mentioned that I had invited all the students and teachers to my home for a farewell party. He said that this showed him that I was a person with initiative who was willing to do more than what was strictly demanded of me, and that was the kind of person he wanted to hire. I am still in that company 20 years later.
I once got an interview for a very interesting job because I had written that I was beginning to learn Russian, which gave me an enormous edge compared to all those who hadn't. I did not get the job, but that was not because of my poor Russian.
Generally it is a good idea to put in any qualification remotely connected to the job as long as you are dead honest about your level.
I think I have about 50 certificates, diplomas and recommendations which I hand in with my CV, and the only one I do not list or hand in is the certificate from a 10 hour crash course in belly dancing in 1982:-)
