Do you think, pükiflens is the right word composition?

Actually, I'm not sure. I used the word 'pükistudan' as my analogy.

The difference is in whether the prefix in the compound stands in a genitive or accusative relation to the second
element. So volapük 'world's language' could be rendered pük de vol or pük vola. But pükistudan
is 'language-study-er', and since I might say that studol püki 'you study a language' that accounts for
the use of the accusative in the compound.

Ah, have you really given up on Volapük—or just the experiment?

Hi. Sort of both, but not completely. I've kept the resources I was using for learning Vp, and the foundation I got doing the experiment is still with me (partly, I think, because I read everything aloud many times – it really sinks in that way). But I'm not currently studying Vp as an active language.

Later this year we'll publish Ventürs jiela Lälid in Stunalän, perhaps the longest novel written in Volapük.

Good to hear. I think a conlang – especially an interlang – will only ever be successful if one can use it, beyond learning it. When all, or most, of the reading materials are written for students, one can’t progress and use the language for enjoyment as one uses one's own language: to chat, read novels, the news, etc.

All the best with publishing the novel. When it happens, you should post a thread. Although, apart from an Esperanto room, there's no room dedicated to conlangs in general. Take care.
