Russian Grammar Books in French / English | ||

Hi all,
I'm bilingual French / English, and I'm currently learning Russian (taking classes). I would like to get a grammar book to supplement this, and I'm looking for recommendations. I speak fluently French and English, so I could go with a grammar book written in either language. It seems to me that French is slightly closer to Russian than English, grammar-wise, so it may be easier to explain the concepts in that language, but I could be mistaken... Advice? If you look for something rather extensive, I recommend "Using Russian - A Guide to Contemporary Usage".
I don't know, however, if this book could be a bit too overwhelming at first. I believe that getting a first overview of grammar by using a slim book which focuses only on the most important rules can be beneficial at the early stages of learning. 1 person has voted this message useful |
