Glad to see your progress!
I've been learning 3 Egyptian hieroglyphs a day for about a month, and reviewing them
with Anki. A couple of days ago, I stepped it up to 6. I'm finding that I need to make up
colorful stories for each character if I want them to stick for more than a few days.
Have you seen the "All Japanese All The Time" site? There's some interesting advice
there.
AJATT
Good luck!

Thanks guys :D
I looked at AJATT before (though very little) but I decided immersion is just too difficult for me. I don't
think listening to anime or music all day long is going to get me anywhere :P

毎、立つ、座、和、少
Every (day, month, etc), stand, sit, Japanese style, few.
I'm really happy with the order of my list - every day there's at least one that I'm somewhat familiar
with and for every difficult kanji (sit), there's an easy one (stand).
Also I saw Batman today.

I've had a ton of homework to do the last few days so I couldn't continue. This weekend I'm going to
review the first 42 I did and then I'll start next week.

Five Kanji a day? That's impressive. I've tried one Kanji a day for Grade 1, then once I got to Grade 2 I did two Kanji a day, and so on. Now that I have reached to Grade 4, I tried to memorize four Kanji a day and almost couldn't absorb any.
