The reason why I suggested this method is just to show our improvement step by step by
the end of this TAC. It can be really helpful especially for members who started their
language from scratch or from A1-A2 levels. Because their improvement will be more
significant.. and when their process is considered together with their way of learning
their language, an objective point of view can be obtained for the effectivity of the
path they followed.

I think the Vikings are doing the same thing for the same reason. It's a good idea. I did it once with Norwegian, but I've never listened to it afterward and I don't know where the tape is. If I ever find it, it would be interesting (and probably embarrassing) to hear. I should try to make a new one to compare.

Ooh, that soundcloud website is cool. I'll definitely put some oral challenges on my
list of things to do.

I tried a voice record in my TL, French, on soundcloud.com , creating an
account
didn't take my time. It also enables you to record your voice directly on the site, that's
why I liked it because you don't need to lose your time by recording your voice somewhere
else and then uploading there.

And here is the
trial

Great ! I find your accent very good.

Just "observer" , you pronouced the s, z whereas it must be pronounced ss

It's been a while, but here's another:

Challenge #20: Write your to do list in your TL.

A fare:
- fare il bucato
- fare i bagagli
- dormire!

I'm going on a youth retreat this weekend so i won't have much time to study. But at least i can write my packing list
in Italian =P

And i think that's my 16th challenge?

Do you mind if I make a couple corrections?

  • a fare > "da fare" (maybe this was a typo)

  • studiare lo spagnolo > the article "lo" is not necessary, you can leave it out

  • ascoltare la musica Italiana > "della musica" because you are talking in general of the type of music you are listening to, if you want to use "la" you have to say something like: Ascolto la musica Italiana degli anni 50

  • leggere il mio libro di testo Italiano > "di Italiano", note that "italiano" isn't capitalised

  • mangiare la cena > I'd say "cenare" is more natural

  • classe de filosofia > we say "lezione di…" or use the name of the subject alone, for example: Devo fare i compiti di matematica. In a scholastic context "classe" is used to define either the classroom: La mia classe è molto grande, or a group of students in the same grade: La mia classe è la 1A (read "prima A", not "uno A"). And I think that that "de" is a mix up with Spanish, we use "di" ;)

Keep it up (and good luck with you exam)!
