The FSI courses I had mentioned before as missing audio:

* The Sinhala course is missing all of the audio.

* The first volume of the Arabic course is missing several tapes and some of the available ones are of very poor quality so that redoing it entirely would be useful.

* I recall Chung mentioning some of the audio of the Hungarian Graded Reader is missing as well.

I have the Peace Corps Pashto basic course - several hours of audio and corresponding pdfs. If you would like these
on the site, just tell me how and I'll send them.

I want to draw your attention to the fact that the audio for FSI Spoken Persian is
available for download free of charge in the "Recorded Materials Archive" of the "Center
for Language Technology" (CeLT) of Indiana University Bloomington. I do not know whether
the audio is in the public domain. If so, I think the audio should be hosted on the FSI
language site together with the PDF (which you can find there in the 'General' section)
in order to preserve it for anybody.

The F.S.I. PERSIAN audio recordings are, indeed, in the PUBLIC DOMAIN. Perhaps someone could add them to F.S.I. Languages database as suggested by neumanc.

Late yesterday, after reading neumanc's post above, I sent an Email to the Indiana University Center for Language Technology via the "Comments, questions ...please email" function at the top of the web page, and received the following reply this morning:

The F.S.I. (Foreign Service Institute) Persian materials are indeed public domain. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi,

there will be some perturbations on my website: I just rent a new more powerful server and I'm configuring it before transferring the yojik on it.

So, the Yojik could be unavailable for some short time ...

Be patient :)

I'll build a new "missing part" list as soon as possible. I got the Persian part and will put it online.

Alfredo sent me the messages which disappeared ; I'll post them again.

Eric

Hi,

the YOJIK is back on a new server, more powerful.

No new material for the moment (I still have to install the mail server).

Thanks for your patience.

Eric
