Greetings everyone. I can easily find the Harry Potter book series in Spanish used in Spain at bookstores and
online but I can't seem to find a copy of any of the books in Latin-American Spanish even though I've seen
posts saying they exist. Can anyone give me a direct link to a site where I can buy a physical and/or digital
copy of at least the first book of the series? It would be much appreciated.
~ Will

The US is the only country to have a version edited of a language that is already printed. South Americans read the Spanish translation. Unless I'm mistaken?

I don't think any other Spanish translations exists... the copies I own of Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal and Harry Potter y la cámara secreta were both published by Ediciones Salamandra, based in Barcelona. I live in Texas, and would assume that Latin American versions, if they existed, would be stocked on the bookshelves here instead of European versions. And someone on Amazon had complained that the vocublary was to0 biased in favor of Castilian Spanish. I'm curious, is it difficult for someone learning "Latin American" Spanish (whatever that means!) to read Castilian Spanish?

I'm learning Latin-American Spanish so I'm trying to have as much of what I'm exposed to to reflect that type
of Spanish. I'm not the best person to ask about how being exposed to multiple variations of a language can
affect learning. For me I just prefer consistency. If I could I would just have everything with Bogotá,
Colombian accent and thier terms used but that would be extremely difficult to do.
