Not-so Korean music, movies, TV...? | ||

I asked in another topic here if listening to material from the language you are learning
is important even if you hate it, and some people said that I probably don't hate all Korean music, movies and TV shows, I just haven't searched enough. So I'm looking for Korean music, movies or TV-shows that aren't so Korean, because so far I've hated everything I've found. Generally I love 95% of Hollywood movies, I like most of the popular American and British TV shows and I like a very wide variety of music from different genres, overall my taste in these three things is very "western"; I don't like Soviet union/Russian, Chinese or Japanese music, movies or TV shows either. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Look beyond k-pop if that's not your thing, there's obviously a ton of other music that Koreans listen to. It might not be easy to find on Youtube (speculating here) but if you're looking for famous names maybe try OST songs and go from there - find their other work. Or look for indie groups. I'm sure there's something for everyone to be honest.
You could do the same with movies - find out the names of award-winning directors who make the kinds of movies you think you might like, and see if you can find their work. Look at the names of the people they've worked with, especially if they were hand-picked, and find the other stuff they've worked on as well. Liz 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

What about documentary films then?
