Doitsujin, Wiki explains that есть replaced every other form, even that for они (суть) in't used widely
and mostly occurs just in scientific papers.
Есмь used in idioms, which are mostly funny nowadays.
I think these forms are like English thou, nearly extinct but used in prayers and that sort of thing.

Pretty good. He used "be", as in English. It's interesting to see how French says "My name is Groot" ("Je s'appelle Groot"), whereas the others use "am" (Yo soy Groot). Mandarin could use "我是" (I am) or "我叫" (My name is / I am called). French could have done the same (Je suis Groot), but didn't.

So English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech and Mandarin all use "to be"
French uses "to be called"

What about the others? Is French the odd one out here?
