I have experience with three Romance languages. I had studied Spanish two years before I started with French. Obviously Spanish helped me a lot with my French studies. Some of the classmates who knew French had the same feelings when learning Spanish. "Oh, it's similar to..." When I learned Portuguese ~15 years later, my knowledge of Spanish helped me again.
However, I didn't start learning Spanish with any Romance languages in mind, nor did I choose it in the first place because it somehow was "better" (even "easier"). Sometimes I want to learn a pair Italian and French ) I

Well, as far as didn't choose yet. I decided to continue going thru Michel Thomas, Paul Noble, and Pimsleur
until I either decide what one language to focus on or finish all of them for all three languages) 1 person has voted this message useful | |
