I have a tendency to overdo it, in Italian especially. I seem to have had some bad Italian accent stuck in the back of my head from a movie or something, and can't seem to get past it. Any advice?

Have natives confirmed that it's bad? Or do you mean a bad Italian accent from an American (or other non-Italian) movie?

It seems bad, at least compared to what I listen to, I listen to loads of Italian, and work on imitating how they sound, when I play back my recordings of the voice I've done, the accent never seems to be just right, though I am getting used to the rhythm of the speakers.

Would it not help if you were to post an MP3 of you speaking Italian for a few minutes?
