Is anyone familiar with this programme? In any language? They have a wide range of
languages on offer and some of them take you (according to the producers of the
software)to C1. I'm skeptical about this.

I've never liked learning languages with software (I tried once and absolutely hated
Rosetta Stone) , but I find this programme not too bad. There is quite a bit of
grammar and vocabulary and interactive dialogues and exercises. Each level has 100
lessons, so quite a few. It progresses reasonably fast through new vocabulary and
grammar. But the grammar is not built into the lesson (as it is with Assimil for
example). You have to follow a link and read on the topic - the whole lot - which
could be off-putting. (so for example if you are learning how to decline adjectives in
German, you would read the whole topic and go back to the exercises).

I've only dabbled with it so far, and I'd like to hear from anyone who has persisted
with it and they've had any success.

I'm not sure if it could be used to learn the language independently or if it is just
a good supplement to learning. I suppose it depends on the language and your
familiarity with similar languages. If you learnt Spanish and you want to learn
Italian, this tool will probably be good for you. If you want to learn a completely
unrelated language (Turkish), I'm not so sure. I hope to be able to report in a couple
of months time if I persist with this programme.

Let me know your thoughts if you have any experience with it.
