I found a description of someone using the Listening-Reading Method
here: http://geniustypes.com/the_secret_to_learning_a_language/ Speaking of the L-R method, I've discovered a series of books that seem perfect for the L-R method. The books are mostly fiction, adapted from classic novels that come with accompanying CDs in which all of the text in the book is read by a native speaker. There are English, French, Spanish, German and Italian books. Plus, they come in increasing levels of difficulty, from A2 to C1. Has anyone here used these? I've used Pinocchio for L-Ring Italian, and the text is magnificent. If I were studying the language, that is undoubtedly what I would use as a base for listening-reading.
