I've been trying to find this course for learning Galician put together by la Xunta de Galicia. The original website was http://www.edu.xunta.es/galingua/, but it seems to have been taken down. I've checked archive.org but the download (http://www.edu.xunta.es/galingua/cdzip/galingua.zip) wasn't archived. I don't know if anyone's saved it or knows of some other place online where it was backed up?

I might have it archived on one of my disks. Give me some time to hunt it down.
Be warned, though... it's a fairly large ISO file. It will run fine in Windows if you
either burn it to disc or can find a way to mount the ISO file as a virtual CD. It'll
also run in Wine on Linux, if I remember correctly.

Look here: http://www.xunta.es/linguagalega/manuais_de_galego
You can find the pages for each of the four levels of the materials at the right, under "Materiais para a preparación dos CELGA" ("Materiais celga 1", etc.) along with audio and in some cases video to accompany.

I've got all four Aula de Galego books, but i hadn't seen the Léxico books. I haven't looked through the CELGA preparation materials yet, thanks :) Still, it'd be nice for the Galingua course to resurface.

If you want to learn Galician, just study European Portuguese.
The only differences are the orthography and the pronunciation, which in the case of Galician resembles Spanish more than Portuguese.
I don't think Galician is different enough from Portuguese to require an entirely separate course.
It's somewhat comparable to learning Swiss German rather than Standard German. You wouldn't learn Swiss German before Standard German, you would learn Standard German and then learn Swiss German afterwards.

Sorry it's taking so long. I haven't forgotten about it. Just have a bunch of old laptop
disks to go through.
