SCIENTIFIC MAGAZINES IN Italian
I will make a video about two scientific magazines written in Italian:
1. Focus
It's on sale here in Germany as well and here is the website:
http://www.focus.it/
2. Newton
My issue of the magazine is from 2002(!) and I have not seen it anymore here in Germany. So I had to do some research on the internet. The editor of Newton is "RCS Periodici SpA" and on the editor's website Newton is not listed as a magazine, so I have to conclude that Newton does not exist anymore.
3. There is an astronomy magazine in Italian, which is not on sale in Germany.
It's called "Coelum Astronomia".
Here is their website:

Splendid idea! I have come into the habit of trying to find scientific magazines wherever I go, - they are interesting, have (mostly) short articles and a language which is understandable even for learners ... at least if you know the subject.

SCIENTIFIC MAGAZINES IN Italian
Both magazines "Focus" and "Newton" are comparable in their quality of the articles and in their choice of topics, the only pity is that "Newton" doesn't exist anymore and I don't know in which year it has ceased publication.
The length of the articles is different from short messages to articles of 4 pages with excellent photos. Some topics are on a basic level of science while others demand more previous knoledge or/and scientific understanding.
In general scientific magazines on paper are rather expensive to buy and I can read two scientific magazines - in German - for free in our mediothek, so therefore it is less surprising that I have bought and read "Focus" and "Newton" only once so far.
But nevertheless I will present them - spoken in Italian - in my coming video.

I’ve found another couple of titles that you might find interesting: they seem good quality scientific magazines, but I don’t generally read such publications so I’m not qualified to judge.
One is entitled Le Scienze and is the Italian edition of Scientific American.
http://lescienze.espresso.repubblica.it/
The second one is Geo and focuses more on geography, anthropology, history, the environment etc.
http://www.geomondo.it/default.aspx
And then there’s the Italian edition of National Geographic.
http://www.nationalgeographic.it/
Finally, I’d like to mention this webpage, where you can find a list of Italian magazines about science, medicine and the environment (unfortunately, it’s not up-to-date: it still lists Quark which folded some time ago).

For Italian magazines — scientific or otherwise — you can also try this directory:

Thes are useful links for me, thanks a lot!
The magazine "Quark" was on sale in Germany some years ago, I saw it in the kiosk of the train station. Thanks for giving the info that "Quark" doesn't exist anymore.
