The grammatical goal looks interesting and very suited for a "lingua franca", but it's got the same thing that bugs me about Esperanto, Interlingua, etc - that it has such a plethora of Romance roots, and neglects other interesting lexical sources.
Some of the information on the grammar pages is wrong though; Japanese is NOT ergative.
