I was under the understanding that we just needed to know the chorus by heart and understand the song also. Any
recordings we do are an added bonus for the pleasure (or pain) of the rest of the team right?

Yes. I guess this is a challenge where you can say "I've done it" without actually having done anything. ;)

I've read that this team is officially closed in the 2013 TAC main thread. But I'd just
like to try myself and unnecessarily bother you guys. So, is that really closed? Since
the team seems full of members (even beyond the limit), I would've guessed there is no
room for new members. :-(
I'm a Korean studying Japanese and Chinese, so I thought it'd be fun if I can join this
team, study together and maybe help others learning Korean. But I'd be okay if I'm not
allowed. A rule is a rule. :)

We already accepted someone into the team late so I think we can accept you as well. More native speakers of our target languages is always a good thing. However, for future applicants maybe we should draw the line at March 31 or March 15? This challenge is supposed to last a whole year so if you already missed more than 20% it doesn't look good. My suggestion is to accept everyone after the deadline as unofficial members who are welcome to post here and do the challenges and everything else but they wouldn't be included in the year-end review in the official TAC 2013 thread.

I'm not the one who decides, but I guess it would be fine. The activity of the team members vary from an almost daily update to a monthly update (I even see one member who didn't update for over a month now)... and the languages we study are also diverse.

Hello everyone! Sorry for my silence the past weeks. I'm still around, just too occupied with other stuff to post much. It might take a while for me to answer, but I will always get around to it eventually ;)
Challenge
How much you do is up to you (minimum being to learn a chorus by heart and understanding the rest, maximum being t learn the whole song by heart and post a video/audio recording of you singing it).
If you have completed the challenge, please say so on the team thread - maybe mentioning what your experience with the challenge was (easy, difficult, fun, annoying... ;)) and also post the lyrics of your song (preferably with translation) and a link to the original audio/video if possible. I think it would be nice to have a collection of our songs here on the team thread.
By the way, I'm posting all challenges on the first post of this thread for your reference, so you can always go back and check the requirements.
New Members
Welcome Youngbin! I'm okay with you joining the team and it seems like the others are as well. It's great that you can relate to all the main three east Asian languages that are studied on the team. If you tell me the link to your log I'll add you to our member list.
I also think taking up new members until March 31 is a good idea. After that I think we're too far into the challenge to have new people join.
