AAATT seems a nice method. I wish I could do it :P
My studies got really busy, but I'm still chugging along. I've started reading some easy texts in Arabic and I try to write sentences at Lang-8...

Did people see this post with resources for different Arabic dialects?

Yeah, I did.
I also started updating my Arabic log with the wordlists someone seems to like, judging by the 'useful' marks.
Halfway done, but I took a bit of a breather. The rest should be up today/tomorrow.

Anyone want to lift a little girl's heart with a postcard?
Check out my log! If you're interested, I can pass on the address.

So, you know, the girl got a *million* postcards :)
And more on topic, who's continuing next year? Luso?
I am certainly going to stick to Arabic.

Yes, I'm in. :)
For anyone who has missed the latest developments, it seems to be the general understanding that this group did not work out well.
The Persian / Pashto / Kurdish crowd seems to be rallying here.
As far as I'm concerned, I'd like to have an Arabic or Semitic group: Hebrew, Aramaic, Amharic...
Actually, since the writing system differs, I'd rather just have Arabic. But our numbers are short, my friends...
Salaam / Shalom

I'm currently doing the 6WC with Arabic and except for at the beginning of the year this
is the most time I've been able to spend on it in all of 2013. Unfortunately, I've
noticed that I'm a slower learner now than I was a year ago. Not only am I experiencing
some interference from Croatian, but my brain just feels it can't take in any more info.
On the bright side, I now have a live (as opposed to Skype) Egyptian language partner and
it's working out great, I'm helping him with Spanish and his helping me with Arabic. The
fact that we have English as a common language has certainly made the process smoother.
Of course, I'm nowhere near B2, but 2014 is already looking bette.r
