Curse my luck. The only one I am interested in is $30 after discount. For other courses, there seems to be some great buys.

newyorkeric, to answer your question, I've ordered from them before without any trouble. However, in a thread from several months ago (sorry, I don't remember which one), both Juan and I wrote about trying to order from Schoenhof's. He was unable to successfully place an order, whereas I had no trouble at all. I'm guessing that his trouble stems from the country of origin of his order (Colombia), but I'm not sure.
(And as geoffw wrote, it's important to always check the ISBN to make sure you're ordering what you want, since the cover shots aren't always accurate.)

Hi, thanks for the heads up. I'm a beginner
in Spanish so would like to ask if Assimil
Spanish with Ease is the right one for me.
On that Shoenhofs it's only $29:98.(which
in pounds i'm guessing is about £25).
Seems like bargain.
Even though there are 4 CD's, all in it's
only 3hours 20minutes. It doesn't seem
like that much for someone to learn
Spanish.
Would I just be better saving up the extra
£40 and buying Michel Thomas 8hour
course.

FWIW, the Spanish course also is available from amazon.com (US) for $32.97, and my first hit on Google today pegs
$29.98 as equalling about £18.61.
Poke around the site here, and you'll see that there are lots of people who swear by Assimil (myself included now),
but also plenty who use Michel Thomas (no personal experience).

Assimil's With Ease courses are great, and they typically cover a lot more
material than Michel Thomas, from what people tell me. I used Assimil's New French With
Ease and made significant progress--by the time I was done, I could carry on a basic
conversation in French and read the newspaper with a dictionary. Assimil is generally
an excellent choice.
Those 4 hours and 20 minutes are all in Spanish, and you will know that material quite
well by the end of the course.
Quite a few people around here like doing a Michel Thomas course first, and then going
on to Assimil. You may be able to find Michel Thomas in the library if you look.

I wish they shipped to more places :) I had a nice list of books but unfortunately they don't ship here.

Cheers geoffw and emk for your repllies, just got a couple of questions.
This is the link to the Assimil Spanish with Ease
http://www.schoenhofs.com/Spanish-With-Ease_p_40590.html
But as I want to learn Spanish as in the country Spain.(as that's where I always go on holiday), it doesn't
mention what Spanish it is so how do I know?
On this link I've provided it says published by Assimil France. So am I buying the right one for an English
speaking person to learn Spain Spanish? I don't want to waste money on the wrong item.
And finally, is the this Schoenhof a safe and legit place to buy stuff? I've just never heard of it before that's
why I have to ask.
Hopefully someone can help with these questions is would be much appreciated. I just hope they deliver
to Glasgow lol.

Yes, it is the Spanish as spoken in Spain and yes, it has an English base.
When in doubt, plug the ISBN in Amazon, as suggested.
