Greetings everyone,
I'm nearing the end of assimil New French with Ease and I'm looking for any native French
material on biking to increase that area of vocabulary. I've found a few youtube clips
and forums on biking but I'm looking for documentaries, movies, books or articles. Really
anything substantial that might have bike vocabulary and is at least somewhat
interesting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have no special knowledge, but here are a few places you might look:
Book search for "vélo" on Amazon.fr
Books about bicycle voyages from SensCritique
Also: Films more films
Forums: Road-biking, another one, etc.
Search terms: vélo, bicyclette, cyclisme.
Good luck!

Hi Travis,
I am a massive cycling fan. There is a short documentary on youtube called 'Vive Le
Tour' that is in French. Most famous cycling documentaries that I am aware of are in
English unfortunately (A Sunday in Hell, Stars and Watercarriers etc). Depending on
your interest, there are plenty of former riders who have books out. If you search
amazon.fr for Laurent Fignon (former winner of the Tour de France) or Laurent Jalabert
for example you will find books written by both men. An excellent website (in English)
regarding cycling and cycling news is steephill.tv. Here, all the up coming races can
be found and each will have links (usually including links to French channels) so that
you can watch the live action and improve your comprehension and vocabulary.
Who do you think will win the Tour this year? It seems like Froome is going to be the
favourite but personally I think Contador is going to win.
I hope that helps a bit anyway.

Thank you very much! I poked around on the links you listed EMK and I'm going to try and
get a book and maybe a movie from amazon.fr. The forums were helpful too. Tons of great
native material going straight into my SRS.
@magictom123
I'll see if I can find that on youtube. I'm not sure who will win the tour this year.
I'm voting for Evans and Van G, but you're right Froome looks like the favorite. It's
going to be fun to try and watch some of the tour in French this year.
