What are the words/word combinations which the Spanish speakers/learners amongst us find
the most difficult to pronounce? I'll get the ball rolling: "jarra" - "pitcher". It's the combination of the throaty "j" sound and rolled double "r". "al rato" - "in a moment". Rolling the "r" after the "l" feels uncomfortable. What else would you guys add? 1 person has voted this message useful | |

I've long had trouble with "Me imagino." I could say it fine in a non-native way with a
definite break between the 2 words, but always stumbled when trying to properly elide the vowels e + i. I recently forced myself to repeat it aloud about 20 times, which seems to have eliminated the problem. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

All long words. Too many unstressed vowels, which all have to be pronounced properly.

Are any of them difficult? (Sorry, but I just don't find Spanish difficult to pronounce on the whole, and there are no specific words that come to mind at all.)

Our teacher had always fun, when we were speaking about an otorrinolaringólogo. But this is only long, not difficult. If you are looking for tongue twisters, learn Polish instead...
