Hi,
I am planning to learn German soon, and I was hoping that if any of you have learned German before that they
could advise me on courses or learning strategies. I know absolutely no German at the moment, and I know that a
bad start will hinder my learning of German all the way to advanced level, so if you know of any good
books/websites ect. that are good, please post them here.
(I want to learn German to fluency btw, so I don't want any phrasebooks, instant German courses ect.)
Thanks a lot,
Mark

Tips from another beginner:

Basic German: a grammar and workbook (I love it)
Langenscheidt Basic German Vocabulary (a bit dry, in comparison with similar public meant
vocabulary ressources for French, English or Spanish, but useful)
