Brilliant!
Great job Eric.
The site looks great and it is so easy to use.
I am a complete numbskull when it comes to anything computer related. I wonder if anyone could be so kind as to
mirror Eric's site so if, say, a third party shuts it down ( not that I'm insinuating that someone did that to the FSI site)
we wouldn't have to jump through all the same hoops again?

OK, I have a "numbskull" question too... I can open the new website at home, but at work (where I do my Spanish study before I start working) my computer says the site may be harmful to my computer and it won't let me open the page. I never had a problem with the old site. Is that just my computer or is it something about the new website that can be changed?

Hi,
I made a copy of the site (backup ) at home and on a second backup server.
And yes, make a copy of the site.
And no, my server will not do any harm to your computer ;)
Something to configure on your computer.
The site is a bare static hand made website ... an old way to do that: your computer seems too new ;) (yes, it's the first of April :):):) )
A member send to me some new material: I'll put it today on the server (Czech material.)
Eric

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has the FSI Persian Basic Course (Spoken Persian) from 1963? I found it on a certain website in Turkistan, but apparently we don't have access to it here in the U.S. If anyone has the course, would it be possible to get it uploaded to the new FSI website?
Thanks!!
Matt

It really ought to be public domain given when (and by whom! it was made; but it almost
certainly isn't (just letting you know so that we don't take any risks with your
wonderful site). I think initially the courses in this series will have been public
domain as made by the US Government but that SLS paid for the rights (or some such
thing) somewhat after they were made (I don't know much about how these things work).
I'd help this guy by PM if I were you.

For what it's worth, there's also this
FSI search on the internet archive database
