Hey guys.
Since I most likely will be studying in Estonia in the future, I need to start learning
some Estonian. Since I dont want to waste time trying different books, I would like to
hear your experiences with estonian language books.
Which one can you recommend?
They can be in English, German or russian.
Thanks

There is a lot of information here in the Estonian profile on the books available for studying Estonian.

Apart from the well-know Teach Yourself and Colloquial, I'd like to add Manuel d'Estonien by Asiathèque, published a few years ago.

Thanks a lot for the answers. The estonian thread was very helpful.
I am now looking into E nagu Eesti, because it reminds me of suomea suomeksi which I
like.
But with soumea suomeksi I had a teacher to help me, with E nagu Eesti I wont have.
Have anyone used it alone?

It's more suitable when you're using it for review or are starting from scratch but with a native speaker. The big problem is that it lacks usable explanations of the grammar in English or any other language.
Tecktight was using it as part of a Estonian course taught online with Skype and she didn't like it that much.

If you like to study Estonian based on the German language, you can find some useful resources on www.sprachwelt.de.
Her is the link: Lehrmaterial für die Sprache Estnisch (Estonian)
Good luck!
