I have a goal: 100 French Films, 100 books in French and 100 seasons of TV in French
I'm already vaguely proficient at fumbling French phrases and am partway through a year exchange in Paris. Despite being in France, doing my studies in French and having a bunch of friends who are French, I kinda feel that my French has sort of stagnated. It's passable, I understand most things and most of the time I can express myself but it's not quite "mine" yet. It's not getting worse, I just don't feel it's got much better. So for the plan! 100 books, films and tv seasons in French; and the films all originally in French. So yeah obviously I'm not gonna finish this in the next 6 months or even the next year, but it feels like a nice goal; but the time I'm finished with that I'll be damned if I'm not fluent! So the books and the tv don't need to be originally in French; for the the TV I reckon 90% will be dubbed stuff though for the books I'm gonna try and make half of them original French works. The films though have to be originally in French. And so it begins! Watched an episode of "Planet Earth" today and am trying to race through "Nations et Nationalisme" by Eric Hobsbawm.
