Hello everyone,
I just want to invite you all to join the "Add one language challenge" on Youtube!
I didn't start it, it's a great idea by Brian Kwong, another great polyglot.
The idea is basically choosing one language for this challenge, whose due date is December 31st, then making video responses following your progress and learning languages together with other language lovers!
Brian Kwong set the last day to upload the "registration" video for today (19/09), so if you want to participate, follow the instructions in the description of this video, upload a video and let's learn together, my friends!
PS: If anyone is interested, I've already submitted my video and I'll be learning Arabic!

The deadline for registration has been moved to the 30th of September. I am considering joining with Esperanto. I am not sure yet.

Hey! This sounds like a lot of fun!
I might join with Polish.
This is a summary of Brian's video that he wrote (for those of us who are more visual than auditory.....)
This is not a competition as you will create your own goals, your own rules and at your own pace. (My goal is
just to learn Japanese 1 hour a day, no more, no less, for 90 days. Thats it.)
The +1 Challenge is all about learning a language together, make great friends who share the same passion,
struggle together and have a blast while we are at it.
Here is what you need to do to join us:
1. Subscribe, Like and share this video
2. Make a video and answer the following questions:
-Very briefly introduce yourself, tell us why you are joining the +1 Challenge :)
-What language(s) will you take on?
-What is your current level or past experience of the language?
-What is the beginning and end date (latest Dec 31st, 2013) of your challenge?
-What goal are you shooting for? and how will you measure your progress on the end date? Video with a native
speaker? Go to the country? a test? (Be specific)
-What is your game plan of learning the language?
-What materials and tools are you planning to use?
-What rules will you set for yourself?
-Create something at stake, what rewards or punishment can you create? be creative and make it fun :)
-How often you will update and where so we can follow your progress?
-Link to other channels in your video who are taking this challenge, so we can spread the words for each other.
-Ask people to subscribe to follow your progress
3. Publish your video on Youtube by Sept 30th, 2013 and use #add1challenge as part of your title (your video
must be 5 min or less) (No more extension after this date)
4. Add this playlist "The +1 Language Challengers" on your channel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSuZNT...
Once you've done that, message me your video and let me know that you are fire up and ready to go, then I will
include your video in the playlist so others can see that you are participating in this awesome challenge. (You can
still do this after Sept 19th but can't say if you will get in)
Note: Youtube is taking out the Video response function
5. Share your video on social media with the hashtag #add1challenge
6. After reviewing your video and if you fulfilled all of the above, I will invite you to a private facebook group
where you can interact with us, ask questions and support each other.

I like the idea of this challenge, but not the video making aspect. I wonder if we can do a HTLAL version ?

Yeah lets do a version just with an audio log.
That should enable shy People to join the Challenge.

Isn't the HTLAL version the 6 week challenge already?
