any tipps to learn russian irregular verbs ? Is input enough ? I am inclined to think it isnt . It seems to me
that there are so many irregular verbs , many many more than in English or German, and in addition to that
you have to remember the infinite , first and second singular and third plural .how can you get used to it ?

Well, there are few truly irregular verbs in Russian. But a Russian verb has two stems:
the stem of the infinitive and the stem of the present tense. Like Latin had three stems:
the stem of the infect, perfect and supinum. One has to learn at least two forms in
Russian. The infinitive and a present tense form other than the first person singular.
Other things can usually be deduced from these forms.
