I have been learning French for about 7 months now, and Afrikaans for 6 years at school, but it was always taught badly, and I have only come to gain enthusiasm for it quite recently. I have lurked in this forums for a while, so the other day I decided to sign up and start this log to keep myself accountable.
FRENCH
I typically do about 1 hour of Assimil (2 exercises) and 20 minutes or so of grammar exercises, I used to use Anki but I eventually stopped, I will try to get back into that habit. I will also start practicing my writing at Lang-8
AFRIKAANS
At the moment I don't do much more than the work I get at school and some speaking practice with my grandmother (Who speaks English as her native language but learned Afrikaans at school) who is really supportive and helpful. I am going to be on the lookout for Afrikaans novels next time I go shopping, if anyone has some recommendations for books to learn Afrikaans then I'm listening.
Thanks for reading this, I don't know if it felt long-winded, if so, sorry.
