Well, on the semi-remote chance that your computer is a Mac, you can just go into System Preferences, then click on Language & Text, then Input Sources, where you can select from among a long list of languages. If you click the box next to "Show input menu in menu bar" it will add a small flag icon in the top menu bar that you can click on to change your keyboard input language.
The easiest way that I've found to get used to typing with a foreign virtual keyboard is to type a document that maps out each keystroke: just tap each key in each row in a blank document systematically, first lowercase then uppercase letters and symbols, making a separate row for each row of your keyboard. Then, print out this page and keep it by your computer for reference. If you force yourself to type in your chosen foreign language(s), after a short while you'll be able to type as easily in them as you do in English.

So, I decided to enter the Super Challenge for May 2012 to December 2013, but since it's passed the midpoint, I'll do a half advanced challenge (which is equivalent to a "regular" challenge) in English (B2 -> C1). I'm entering now just so I could try it out so that when I do it on another language, I'd know roughly how fast I read or how well I understand a film etc.
My reading material will be my university textbooks, which I'm reading fanatically since exams are looming on the horizon. I read textbooks faster than I would a novel, and I make notes as I go along, so please forgive me if I seem to progress too fast or if I don't look up the unknown words merticulously (usually they can be overlooked). I'll compensate for that by counting the books only once, even though I'd have to read and re-read them many times throughout the trimester. Occasionally I'll read books whose pages are twice the size of those in a "normal" novel, and I'll count each page as two - I'll make a note of these books when I blog my progress.
Done so far:
Books: 0/10000 pages
Films: 0/150 hours
Today's goal (Apr. 14, 2013):
p1-56, p273-372 of PARKIN & BADE MICROECONOMICS - CANADA IN THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT, 7TH ED - 156 pages
Ok, I made the mistake of stating that this is for TAC challenge, but it's NOT... Just edited it to make things correct.

Done with the goal. The fact that I'm doing a challenge does seem to make me do the readings, without it I would have slacked off. The rest of the day will be spent reviewing the material (and I vowed not to count anything twice).

Films 0/150 hours

Tomorrow's goal (Apr. 15, 2013):

I just had a hard time actually registering to the challenge. It's apparent that I'm no tech person. You guys will see some error messages on Tweeter, one of which telling me it did not understand what I said. I find that somewhat funny.
The whole 150-pages-in-3-hours thing was just a skim-through. I did understand what it was talking about, though I'm now re-reading it.

Finished my goal for today, and watched in addition 3 hours of Michael Sandel's Justice: What's the Right Thing to Do video series. The series is very educational, and it ties in pretty nicely with the economics stuff I've been doing - there are even vocabulary overlaps. Also, I got some almost-free books from the sale at a local library. These books are in French and on just about any topic - including the secret police force of Quebec(!). I'll save them for some other time.

So, my Pimsleur French II came. Since they are sending me identical-looking packages on 7 different languages at the same time (trial version), I was quite proud of myself on being able to sniff out the French material in the first package I opened, which proves that I do have a quickness in picking out French stuff. After a not-so-successful trimester of French studying, I do need something to keep me going, and my package-picking today is just the thing. This might not sound convincing to others, but as long it convinces me, it's a valid argument, and French is again secured of its once-shaky seat on my language wish-list.
