I'm looking forward to the next 6wc and a new language which I will use for it.
Thanks once again everyone. |

Likewise! I found the 6wc not long after finding HTLAL - great introduction to both! And csidler, I ended up
coming in third - you and I were neck and neck for a while! ;) |

That's funny, my first 6WC was also right after i had found the forum and i also finished 4th! Just goes to show how
motivating it can be. (Let's not mention the fact that i barely made top 50 this round...)

You didn't do so bad in the overall score...
My first few weeks of the challenge were not that great, but I spent the first couple of those weeks away from home, and then the next week after coming back was pretty chaotic as well. It looks like I'll end up 42, which is okay, I suppose.
I definitely made progress over the last 6 weeks, which is the whole purpose of the challenge. When the challenge began, it would take a lot of work for me to read one paragraph in a magazine; yesterday, I was able to read more than three pages in only a little bit more time.
I will be switching target languages for the next challenge. I don't know if that will help because it is going to be more motivating, or if it will hurt, because I'm still going to be working with Spanish, but not in the same way.

Me too! My Spanish is now a solid intermediate, so I'll have to focus on something else - but I definitely want to
participate in the next challenge! I already have my materials ready for Tagalog... That said, there's no way that I'll
be putting in as many hours in Tagalog as I did in Spanish this time around, since my main learning focus will be
Spanish right up until next Spring. Still, I'm looking forward to learning something different!

My first time participating was great! I'm shocked to be at #8 and amazed at some of the hours others were able to accomplish--you guys really made me want to keep studying more. I might end up participating in this again.

I was shocked when I realized I had a shot at the number one spot this time. Of course, it's partly because a few hardcore competitors didn't take place. But I clocked many more hours than in any previous competition, and I think quite effective hours. I faded out the final two days because my school was getting inspected.
Thanks to maurelio1234 for keeping me motivated by your long hours of work, and congratulations for coming in second place!
As always, big thanks to Sprachprofi for running this! I think I would not have made half the progress I have made in the past couple years if it wasn't for these challenges.
