So today was full of Assimil and football. Unfortunately (well, not thaaaat unfortunately) there was a lot more football than language learning.
I have been watching a lot of videos on YouTube of polyglots talking about their experiences and stuff, which keeps my motivation up. It's great. Makes me love the internet even more. Переживать - to worry. Волноваться - to worry (reflexive). 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Been obviously keepin up with Assimil. Also, yesterday I went to my grandparents' for Rosh Hashanah. I got to practice Russian a bit which was nice, but I wish I had more of an opportunity to talk. They were mostly engrossed in "old people" conversation, which I either couldn't participate in because it didn't pertain to me or because my vocabulary limited me. In any case, I got plenty of listening/comprehension practice.

And so my consistency finally broke. I have a decent excuse though. I arrived in London yesterday where I'll be
spending about 3 months. It would have been cool to go to a place that doesn't speak English, but for a variety of reasons with my university I could not. In any case, can't really complain about 3 months in London. Hopefully I'll at least keep up with my Assimil stuff. Cheers. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Assimil the past two days. Slow and steady. I also was talking to this girl last night who's been taking Russian in
school for 6 years. Pretty fun stuff. I'd say my accent is better, though she has that expanded vocabulary that comes with time. In any case, it was solid practice. Подозрительный - suspicious 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Yes well I've been rather inconsistent sadly. But I've done some today. Hopefully I'll remain on a better pace. I talked
to a Russian last night, but unfortunately it was around 2:30 in the morning and I was coming down from being quite drunk and being in such a tired state was not conducive to fluidity in speech in English, let alone Russian. Definitely a poor showing on my part. I will say that when properly drunk my Russian flows quite nicely though. Терпеть не могу - "I can't stand it" 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Well, overall I am a little disappointed to say that I've probably failed... at least for now. I've gotten very busy now
that university has started and the little free time I have I used for... less productive activities than language learning. Hopefully I'll pick it up again soon. I'll try to do a little bit here and there. Considering no one was reading this (I think) I'm sure it won't hurt anyone besides myself that I'm shutting it down. I'll pick it up again eventually.
