No es que me guste, simplemente no me extraña como antes, me suena natural. Y no sé si te hará falta escuchar cada lección diez veces, para mí con 6 ya me bastaba. Recuerda que no se trata de torturarte, una vez que ya te lo sepas, avanza a la próxima unidad. FSI es como has dicho tú, con cada repetición los ejercicios son más fáciles de hacer. A la quinta repetición suele ser bastante fácil y a la sexta parece que ya te lo sabes todo de memoria ;)
Ahora algunas correcciones: -"Es curioso que te gustE" - en este tipo de frase (es ... que ...) es muy común el uso del subjuntivo. -Después de "escuchar" no hay que poner una "a": escucho la radio (no "escucho A la radio"). -"Mucho" se usa con sustantivos, con adjetivos y adverbios se emplea "muy" (muchos animales corren muy rápido, muchas personas están muy preocupadas) -"eschuché a lección de diez" - aquí te sobra la "de" (escuché la lección diez) -"o si me perfeccionarlo antes." - creo que sé lo que quieres decir aquí, pero creo sería más simple decir "o si (me) lo aprendo antes". -"la segunda vez fue más fácil que el primero." - "el primero" hace referencia a "la segunda vez", así que también tiene que estar en femenino: más fácil que la primera (vez). ¡Ánimo, que tu progreso es impresionante! 1 person has voted this message useful | |

How do you remember all of these things?????
- I am so far from having a grasp on the Subjunctive that I cannot see the starting line much less the finish line. - (no "escucho A la radio") Ok. It felt correct when I typed it. I'll work on it. - muchos animales corren muy rápido. This one I can remember. Thanks for that. - (escuché la lección diez) Makes sense. However, I can only imagine how many times I will need to see that before it sticks with me. - o si me perfeccionarlo antes. I knew it was wrong when I wrote it. However, I have really tried to work through a thought when speaking or writing. I could not relay the idea of "Unless I perfect it prior to the ten repititions". - así que también tiene que estar en femenino: más fácil que la primera (vez). I could have written that 100 times and NEVER thought of that. Me parece que si puedo hacerlo en sólo seis veces (FSI), voy a ser muy feliz. :) Gracias otra vez. FSI te ayudará un montón con el subjuntivo, yo tampoco lo domino a la perfección, sobretodo cuando las dos formas son correctas pero con matices distintos. Pero las situaciones donde sólo se puede utilizar el uno o el otro son bastante fáciles de aprender, y los vas a aprender muy bien con FSI ;)
Y creo que la razón por la que "esuchar a la radio" te suena bien es porque así lo decimos en inglés: "listen TO the radio". En castellano, "escuchar" es como "oír" ("I hear the radio" no "I hear to the radio"), escuchas algo (pero escuchas A una persona). En cuanto a "perfeccionar", puedes decir algo como "...si no lo perfecciono antes" o "a menos que (no) lo perfeccione antes", pero me parecer un poco raro hablar de "perfeccionarlo", puesto que creo que no piensas mejorar el ejercicio. Me gusta mucho que me escribas en español. Aprendo nuevas frases cada vez. Esta vez lo fue "Sobretodo Cuando" y "Matices Distintos". :)

Sí, lo has escrito bien. "Cada semana" se escribe así no más, no hace falta añadirle una "la". Y si quieres ahora en adelante te puedo escribir en castellano, sólo espero no cometer demasiados errores y confundirte aún más ;)
A propósito, ¡parece que ya empiezas a dominar el subjuntivo! -Esta vez lo fue... El "lo" sobra aquí. Algunas veces se puede utilizar con ser/estar, pero en general no. Lo/la son objetos directos, y ser/estar no suelen llevar un objeto. Algunos ejemplos donde sí se usan con lo: "¿Estás contenta?" "Sí, lo estoy" (si dices "Sí, estoy" te van a preguntar "¿Estás qué?": "Sí, estoy contenta" o "Sí, lo estoy") "¿Es divertido?" "¡Claro que lo es!" (otra vez, la frase parece inacabada si dices "¡Claro que es!" Un poco como cuando lxs hispanohablantes dicen "Yes, I want." Queremos contestar, ¿Qué es lo que quieres?) Ah, y aquí yo hubiera puesto el verbo en plural: "Esta vez fueron X y Y", ya que son dos cosas. -Yo no tengo que dominar a la perfección Está casi perfecta, pero no se sabe qué no tienes que dominar. What helped me to get the subjunctive down (I hate to use the word "master" as I feel I will never "master" a second language) is a book written in English by an American who learned Spanish to a highly proficient level. Breaking Out of Beginner's Spanish by Joseph Keenan. His chapter on the subjunctive- The Twilight Zone with his examples of Mariachi singers to illustrate its use, I still remember to this day.
If you get this book, it's NOT a course. It's more like a collection of tips and advice, a guidebook, on how to make your Spanish less English-influenced by someone who had to learn to do this the hard way. I think you may be at the point where this would be helpful. I, too am quite impressed with how far you have taken your Spanish in such a short time. So many people come and go on HTLAL. I've seen quite a few over the years. You fit the pattern of someone like, emk, Crush, dbag, Random Review and James29 who will take Spanish to the next level. It's a testament to your hard work and effort, your consistency and persistence. This mess of a second language (that we all go through as beginners) is beginning to come together for you. Now is the time, to, in addition to studying, start using your Spanish as often as possible. Writing more and regularly on lang8, seeking a language exchange, regular listening, all will help your Spanish to coalesce. Keep your momentum going and even take it up a notch. Soon, you'll be the one giving the advice and help. ¡Enhorabuena! Your Spanish is great and developing very well. It will just keep happening and falling into place (apparently much faster for you than it did for me). You have a good grasp of the subjunctive. Two resources I'd recommend are the Practice Makes Perfect Subjunctive Up Close and this article recommended to me by Randomreview.
I did the PMP book and "understood" everything, but it never really fell into place. Then fairly rapidly things just fell into place with the subjunctive as I continued to read and watch TV. Honestly, I have not fully read the article recommended by Randomreview yet, but I intend to do so someday. Whatever you do, do not get discouraged. For me, there's a huge difference between intellectually understanding the subjunctive and being able to apply
it in casual conversation. The best boost to my use of the subjunctive is one-on-one Skype sessions. I have a wonderful teacher who just raises her eyebrows when I use indicative instead of subjunctive. She's got the "teacher look" down pat! Ha! Through repeated self-correction, I'm starting to feel much more comfortable using it. I think that posting texts to lang-8 or italki for corrections is a great idea. It's also useful to try to notice the subjunctive when reading. I think you're doing really well, and I'm enjoying following your progress! 2 persons have voted this message useful |
