Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 10 - Lesson 11 (Lliçó onze)
It seems that to learn the differences between verbal patterns in Portuguese and Catalan will be a very interesting and enlightening activity.
I'm getting more comfortable with the exercises, even more with the new "answer to the question" ones.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Vuit (8) = 23
Nou (9) = 25
Deu (10) = 21
Onze (11) = 26
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 11 - Lesson 12 (Lliçó dotze)
I couldn't resist to look at the pictures from places mentioned in this lesson: Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, Monument a Colom, Font de Canaletes and Mercat del Born. However, I've tried not to read anything, mostly because I'm afraid not to read them with the "right sound" on my mind, and this may be unhealthy.
Thanks to a post by Marishka in our Group Log, I've decided to take dictation from the audio, starting with lesson 1 after the end of lesson 30. At this point, I'll have already not listened to it for a while during my commute and will start the active phase only 26 lessons latter.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Vuit (8) = 23
Nou (9) = 25
Deu (10) = 21
Onze (11) = 26
Dotze (12) = 32
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 12 - Lesson 13 (Lliçó tretze)
No great novelties in this lesson, but the amount of text clearly increases and it feels like the speech velocity increased also a little bit.

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 13 - Lesson 14 (Lliçó catorze)
Today, before the grammar revision lesson I've listened to all lessons of this group. By the way, in this second revision lesson it is clearly recommended that you should repeat all previous lessons aloud many times.
I like grammar and it doesn't bother me complex and deep explanations, even if it is clear that I'm not going to memorize all of it at once. That said, let's see if the easygoing way of Assimil grammar lesson will be more effective.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Vuit (8) = 23
Nou (9) = 25
Deu (10) = 21
Onze (11) = 26
Dotze (12) = 32
Tretze (13) = 29
Catorze (14) = 30
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 14 - Lesson 15 (Lliçó quinze)
While listening, I missed five words in this lesson, which makes one word every other entry, one of them I didn't know also in Spanish (escollera). In spite of that, for the first time, I've got the meaning of the whole dialog through listening, before reading the Catalan text.
My grammar book keeps saying: "open me, open me!!".
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Quinze (15) = 20
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 15 - Lesson 16 (Lliçó setze)
It seems that the goal of this lesson is to show you how much Catalan you already understand. The text is quite bigger than in the previous lessons and even bigger than the next one, lesson 17, I just checked. However, it doesn't take much more time, which means more text and speech in the same amount of time. I'll calculate the average seconds/word for each lesson and will put it here.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Quinze (15) = 20
Setze (16) = 23
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1

El Catalán sin esfuerzo, Lessons 1-16.
Number of words, time (in seconds) and words per second data.
It must be said that this "time data" includes the whole recorded time of the lessons, even the silent ends, which are not the same for every lesson.

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 16 - Lesson 17 (Lliçó disset)
So, here we learn the numbers, which means that "I already know" 10.000 words in Catalan :-))) Now, seriously, I'm glad this is not something else I need to learn.
Well, this lesson was not that much smaller than the last one as I thought. Anyway, I've seen some new stuff they don't explain in the notes. Indeed, It is very clear that if I were studying Catalan under "normal" settings, I would definitely start reading my grammar book right now!
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Quinze (15) = 20
Setze (16) = 23
Disset (17) = 21
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1
