Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 24 - Lesson 25 (Lliçó vint-i-cinc)
A much shorter lesson. It seems that when they want to introduce some new structures, the lessons are shortened. Moreover, these lessons are often easier to understand, repeating previously studied vocabulary.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Vint-i-dues (22) = 34
Vint-i-tres (23) = 33
Vint-i-quatre (24) = 39
Vint-i-cinc (25) = 24
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1
15 to 21 = 2.8
I would add about 1.0 hour for each group due to repetitions during commute.

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 25 - Review of lessons 17-25
For many reasons, today I've decided to review, actually mostly to re-listen, lessons 17 to 25 more attentively. I'll count this time into this group's total time, although half of it belongs to the previous one.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Vint-i-dues (22) = 34
Vint-i-tres (23) = 33
Vint-i-quatre (24) = 39
Vint-i-cinc (25) = 24
Review 17-25 = 25
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1
15 to 21 = 2.8
I would add about 1.0 hour for each group due to repetitions during commute.

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 26 - Lesson 26
Some theater specific vocabulary, the very easy passive and a poem to memorize. I'll also have some extra time (while driving) to repeat listening a few lessons later on.

Vint-i-dues (22) = 34
Vint-i-tres (23) = 33
Vint-i-quatre (24) = 39
Vint-i-cinc (25) = 24
Review 17-25 = 25
Vint-i-sis (26) = 30
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1
15 to 21 = 2.8
I would add about 1.0 hour for each group due to repetitions during commute.

So, this is the poem we are supposed to study and memorize in lesson 26. Actually, only the first and third stanzas, but I've decided to include also the second one.
See it here. I've tried to find someone reading this poem on Internet, so far unsuccessfully.

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 27 - Lesson 27
This has been a hard to understand lesson just by listening, but it became easier after reading the Catalan text and by the end of the lesson you even ask yourself, why was it so hard at the beginning? I've already seen that tomorrow's review lesson will be very easy, but let's not rush!

Vint-i-tres (23) = 33

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 28 - Lesson 28
Fourth revision: verbs. So, it IS easy for anyone who knows well a Romance language, but that is the problem, because Assimil do not emphasizes well enough the differences, that exist.
Anyway, this group of lessons has been more challenging and interesting. We are already reading small texts from literature.

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 29 - Lesson 29
This lesson was easier and I understood it already on the first listening. Some words were missing, but it was clear which category they belong to.
On the other hand, I've decided to be more careful about some grammatical details. I've been complaining over the lack of explanations for verbs, but it's very clear for me now that there is something that needs also to be better understood, namely personal pronouns. I've found these nice tables (in Catalan and English) on Wikipedia and will study them, because those on Assimil are just awful!
Another favourite word of mine now is daixonses. I'm trying to find something about its etymology, unsuccessfully so far. A very dangerous false friend is canalla.
Time required for individual lessons (minutes)
Vint-i-nou (29) = 41
Total time for groups of lessons (hours)
1 to 7 = 2.1
8 to 14 = 3.1
15 to 21 = 2.8
22 to 28 = 3.8
I would add about 1.0 hour for each group due to repetitions during commute.
Total time
1 to 28 = 15.8 hours

Assimil Experiment: El Catalán sin esfuerzo - Day 30 - Lesson 30
Today I missed only three words, veïna, the false friend prima and metgessa. The exercises were also very eary, so I guess that this was a lesson to make us feel good :-))
I'm spending more time trying to figure out as much as possible from the grammatical appendix.
