I am an English speaker learning Spanish. What is your favorite tts software for Spanish? I am thinking
of reading a Spanish book that is really too hard for me, doing only a few sentence at a time. It would
be nice if the software included American Spanish pronunciation, American and European, male and
female would be great; it would be good if there was a way I could put pauses in the output to allow for
repetition. I would like to produce mp3's I could listen to at the gym. I realize that some people hate
tts voices, but some of the ones I've heard are pretty good. I figure it would be a big improvement if I
sounded like tts speech instead of the way my Spanish sounds now.

Ivona is very impressive. The free online version is a little slow if using it a lot, and has a low length limit.
There's several different packages available for purchase, and a free "minireader" available for download. I'm going to download it myself and see how good it is...
EDIT:
The application is free, but the voices are a time-limited trial. So you're either going to be buying something or relying on the website. Oh, and in order to get the free software, you are forced to sign up for a newsletter. I'm not impressed.
EDIT2:
And the voices are certainly not cheap. Not cheap even before you click through from the link after which the prices have magically gone up ("Starting price €29" >click< prices ranging from €69 upwards). I'm extremely unimpressed.
