I've been looking on itunes for Spanish radio podcasts but haven't had much luck. Does
anybody know the Spanish equivalent of say Chris Moyles Show or Scott Mills (from Radio
in UK) and where i can download the podcast from?

Sports talk radio/La liga would be good too.

Thanks for any help

P.S. Does anybody have a Spanish penpal (either in Spain or Latin america?) I quite like
the idea of sending via snail mail, but not sure if its worth it or if I will find
anybody interested.

I don't know those English shows, so I cannot tell if there is anything equivalent.

For sports (mainly football):
Radio Marca

As `romantic' as snail mail may be, I prefer e-mail/VoIP.

Check out the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser. They have a section for podcasts and you can also follow it "en directo". There is also Cadena Cope. I mention the two because Cadena Ser is considered to be "leftwing" - it belongs to the same group as El PaĆs, while Cadena Cope is more "rightwing".

Regarding sport, in the podcast section of Cadena Ser you will find the programme "El Larguero", which they claim is the leading sports programme on Spanish radio.

I know about the Chris Moyles show, but cannot really offer a Spanish equivalent. There is something about this particular form of British radio journalism that is rather unique. (I mean that in a positive way, although I am no particular fan of Chris Moyles.)

Hi,

Thanks for both replies, I will check out your suggestions.

I heard RNE Radio 3 is the National music station (aimed at younger audience)but the pods
on itunes look poor. Any music/chat/chart shows worth listening to, either in Spain or
South America?

Thanks again for you help

If you're interested in American Blues music, there's Ruta 61 on RNE. It's hosted by a guy who's lived in Spain for many years but who originally hails from the U.S. He covers Blues from around the world, but the majority of the music, given the genre, is American. It's just the host and the music (no interviews), but he does give nice background information on the selections and artists (= commentary all in Spanish, music mostly in English). Ruta 61 is a one-hour weekly program (although it recently took a several-month hiatus, it's now back on the air). I subscribe via iTunes, but it's available directly from the website if you prefer:

Ruta 61

I've had less luck with shows from Latin America, but I used to listen to several from MVS, a Mexican broadcaster. You may want to check out their podcasts as well:
