Hello all friends!
Happy Easter for everyone :)
I'm new here and I want to learn English towards advanced level and I'll put some
information about the method
that I'll follow and the textbooks I'll use.
Background
I studied English language for many years in the past, but I'm like forget evey thing,
then I tried to remember what I've learned
by watching TV serials and It really worked! but I miss some grammar and be very
confused when I speak to someone.
so, I decided to begin all my study again from very beginner level..
Method
I read this topic about advanced textbooks and inspired by what all said about to begin
learn a language by using various generations
of Assimil then move to native textbooks and I really liked the idea! but for English
there is no Assimil in my language. so,
I'll start right away using native textbooks.
Books
As I said there is no Assimil in my language then I'll start using the following
textbooks:
American English file
Listen to podcasts at normal speed. the sources should be as varied as possible.
Read newspaper articles out loud.
Speak
Writing 185 TOEFL Writing
Goal
My simple goal is to reach "hopefully" advanced fluency. I know it's a big goal but I'm
really need to learn English to this level because
I want to prove that I can learn a language even to advanced level, and because English
is a key language to other language that
I want to study in the future, beside all Assimil books written in either English or
French - that's why the French is my next language:)-
My best wishes to you all to reach your own goals in your beautiful languages!

The good thing about these books, They have a lot of drills - which I need it!-

4000 Essential English Words "They cover at least 80% of the words in newspapers and
academic texts, and at least 90% of the words in novels."
Listen to podcasts at normal speed. the sources should be as varied as possible.
Read newspaper articles out loud. (People is a very interesting magazine for everyday
English)
Speak
If I can, I'll read the complete Harry Potter novels and its audio books! :)
It has a very exciting authors, plus It's available in many languages.

Nice log! You seem to be on the right way towards your goal, I wish you success and a lot
of fun on the way. After all, there is no other language with so much fun material to
watch. For British English, which seems to be the only without representant on your tv
series list, I recommend Doctor Who.
