Hoje tenho sono e estudei nesta manhã por somente uma hora. Mas acabou lição seis de
Colloquial Portuguese. Yesterday, I was so tired I forgot to study my Anki deck and I had to review 50 cards today. But I am exicted, because today I found a copy of one of my favorite movies, Star Trek II, and I was overjoyed to find out it is dubbed in Spanish, French, and....Portuguese! It sounds Brazilian, but I could not care less. What a perfect way to practice! Hopefully by Friday I will have enough time to sit down and watch it. Ah, on a computer with no accents! The horror! So all English in this post.
I prefer Star Trek IV personally (is that the one where they go back in time to San Francisco or something? I need to watch it again). But any Star Trek movie is better than Star Trek I, I think. That reminds me... I need to watch all those Peanuts DVDs I have. They are both dubbed and subtitled in Japanese and Portuguese. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Hoje estudei Português por três horas. Acabou lição sete de Colloquial
Portuguese e lição seis de Teach Yourself Portuguese. Estudei também vinte palavras de Anki. Fui ao cine e vi o novo filme Além da Escuridão - Star Trek. Gostei desse filme mas não foi muito original. Agora quero ver Jornada nas Estrelas II: A Ira de Khan em Português. I discovered that Amazon now has a Brazilian store, Amazon.com.br. Unfortunately, they only sell Kindle books, so I have decided that in order to reward myself, I will buy a new Kindle (my old one broke) upon completion of Colloquial Portuguese and load it up with O grande Gatsby, A Guerra dos Tronos - As Crônicas de Gelo e Fogo, As Aventuras de Sherlock Holmes, Lolita, and all my other favorite books.
