Cześć wszystkim,
this thread will serve me for keeping track of my Polish learning.
My main reason for learning this language is very simple. I've been living in Poland for two years.
Currently, I am focusing on improving my writing skills. I am writing imaginary complaint letters, and I am getting them corrected by a professional teacher. This is particularly useful, since I need to find a balance between clearness and politeness in my style.
Moreover, I have just ordered Wśród Polaków (book 1 and 2). Hopefully I will get them by this week!

Indiana University hosts the audio for the first 11 chapters of Wsród Polaków 1. I got Wsród Polaków 2 for about 2 zlotys and like it for its quirky dialogues even though I can't find any audio for it.
Powodzenia!

Thank you all!
Chung, actually I ordered this book after reading a post of yours, directly from Lublin. And yes, it costs 2zł ;)
I will post a mini-review after I get that book myself.

I got Wśród Polaków 1/2 in just one working day from Lublin to Wrocław!
This may be exactly what I need to base the consolidation of my Polish. They are definitely not fit for learning Polish from scratch. On the other hand, the old-fashioned style, together with thorough and dry grammar explainations, wordlists at the end of the dialogues (book 1), and footer notes (book 2) make it very pleasant to go through the content.
Yesterday I also wrote the first part of a fake complaint letter to Poczta Polska. Everything was understandable, some Italianisms here and there, but my formal writing skills are abysmal.
I am finishing this letter for this weekend. I am going to write a real complaint letter for my girlfriend to a private transport company. A minibus didn't show up at all, and she had to wait for the next one.
This will make me practice the feminine forms of verbs.
