Today:
French: Preparing for the 50 % super challenge
- Vocabulary review (A1+A2) via a workbook (crossword puzzles and the like, SRS)
- Grammar review: Présent
Spanish: Books, books, books
- finished chapter 12/19
(This chapter was really annoying. Of course they don't need to know the language of other people they meet! They simply speak from mind to mind - even about the most complicated stuff - by "listening with the heart" ... and this is no fantasy or science fiction novel!)
- book counter (completed/in progress): 1/1
Japanese:
- Kanji review
- Vocabulary review

During the last two days I kept on reviewing french vocabulary and using my SRS software. However, I stopped, for now, with the grammar review. Instead I started shadowing the Assimil lessons for it is much more fun to me (I'm now at lesson 11 but had completed lesson 44 some time ago).
I finally finished the second book from Isabel Allende today. I'm rather glad that there is only one left from her. Although parts of the stories are interesting and even thrilling to some extent, I dislike the "fantasy elements". This seems a bit incredible to me, because I usually read fantasy novels.
Next and third book: El bosque de los pigmeos
Regarding Japanese...
I thought about starting anew with Heisig's RTK. Well, this time I stopped at Kanji 60 or thereabouts (last time: Kanji ~250). After all, I absolutely want to learn words so I can use the new Kanjis immediately.
In addition, I worked my way through the first story of a graded reader (Level 1, ~JLPT N5): バス from 松田緑 (if I got that right... I was a little bit confused about 作。I thought author would be 作者 or maybe 作家).

I guess, the next month is going to be horrible. I have to take two English exams and I want to study for the JLPT N4, because, to be honest, I have no chance to pass it with the knowledge I have right now.
To keep track of my progress and show me that I'm actually progressing, I decided to count the pages of the learning material I have to read for the English exams.
Oh, I have to decide if I'm going to use BE or AE. I usually never think about stuff like that.
Subject I:
Total amount of pages: 406
Read/missing: 76/330
I do need to learn the vocabulary as well... I have no idea, how much it will be. Aaand... the exam is on May 12th.
Subject II:
Total amount of pages: 284
Read/missing: 0/284 (I actually already read like 80 pages, but I'm going to reread them)
Date: 20/05
French: Preparing for the 50% super challenge
- Vocabulary review (A1+A2)
- Grammar review: Futur I
- Assimil shadowing: 10-15
Spanish: Books, books, books
- Nothing (waiting for the start of the super challenge)
Japanese:
- Vocabulary review
- Graded reader (JLPT N5): どうしてエビの体は曲がった (I somehow feel like a small child...)

French: Preparing for the 50% super challenge
Today I completed the workbook for french vocabulary (A1 and A2). However, I still need to add a few words to my SRS. For the next two days I plan to review grammar and to shadow two Assimil lesson a day.
English:
SI: 224/406 (after I've finished this post, I plan to read at least 40 pages)
SII: 0/284
Japanese:
I shouldn't have created the grammar list. I'm really demotivated at the moment, because I feel like I haven't learned anything the last months.
My plan for today: learn 5 new words and one grammar topic
Spanish:
My plan for today: read one newspaper article

Today is the first day of the Super Challenge and of the 6WC as well. Therefore, I changed my work schedule.
I am participating with French, Spanish and Japanese in the Super Challenge. Each will be a 50% challenge. However, I will be only watching movies in Japanese. But these, so I decided for myself, I will watch without subtitles. My language for the 6 week challenge will be Japanese, since I'm going to take the JLPT N4 in July.
Overview:
Japanese:
- 17 min Listening-Reading
- 40 min grammar
- 13 min vocabulary
Spanish:
- I've read some pages
- Watched one film
French:
- Shadowing Assimil Lesson 22 and 23
- Started and finished a graded reader (Nivel 1). It counts as 13 pages.
- Watched one film (If I hadn't seen this film before, I would have been lost.)
English:
- SI: 344/406 (I will continue reading after I've finished this post)
- SII: 0/284

I was so busy with work and studying (and of course with spending some time with my boyfriend) that I haven't done much lately. Well, since the first English exam has been yesterday, I'm already done reading all the pages for Subject I. Unfortunately, I still have to read 200 pages for Subject II. So much for English.
I've also read my first Spanish book for the 50% super challenge in Spanish (as I mentioned before: Isabel Allende - El Bosque de los pigmeos) and have started a new one.
It's kind of late, therefore:
Spanish:
- read one book: Isabel Allende - El bosque de los pigmeos (I've finally finished all Allende books - I definetly won't read another one)
- watched one movie: Stardust
French:
- read several graded readers
- done a lot of very short SRS sessions
- now at Assimil lesson 28
- watched two movies: Guardians of Ga'hoole, 2 episodes of Charmed
Japanese:
- finished the first graded reader Level 1
- added a lot of vocabulary to Anki
- watched one movie
English:
- SII: 84/284
- written an essay with about 800 words
